I don't have D:OS so i'm not sure about it specifically but assuming that it runs off of steam and probably has a steam_api.dll in its folder i suppose it needs steam to run, though i wouldn't know for what since the game doesn't seem to use steamworks in any way. Most of these games in the list i don't even know nor do i own them, personally i only had very few games that run without steam, most games i own need steam because they are working with steamworks multiplayer or simply don't start because their applications are altered to load the steam_api.dll which in turn requires steam to run and the game to be owned by you.

Once logged in, click on the D:OS2 Kickstarter link in the top menu. To get your Steam key, please: Create an account at/log in to. If you want to play on GOG, you will have to wait until Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available on GOG. You will NOT be able to swap a Steam key for a GOG key. Keys are currently only available for Steam, but keys for GOG will come later. WARNING: Do NOT get a Steam key now if you want to play this game on GOG. Do not give away this key if you want to play the final game. You will not get another separate key for the full game. This Steam key will unlock the Early Access game on Steam, which will then turn into the FULL game automatically next year.
